Flights are to Paphos or Larnaca (about 1½ hours from Paphos) which both have newly opened airports with excellent facilities as you would expect from an international airport.

Paphos is set in the western part of the island and most villages are situated in coastal areas with sea views although looking inland to the mountain views is equally stunning. Paphos is the only resort which stays open all year round making it an ideal place to live permanently.
Winter is short, lasting approximately 6 to 8 weeks, and the daytime temperature averages 14 degrees with many extremely warm days thrown in. The nights until March/April can be cooler.

The sea temperatures can be very inviting until late December making it an excellent choice for Scuba diving and other water-sports.

Socialising in Paphos is very easy and often unplanned, Cypriots are very friendly and in most areas English is widely spoken. Cyprus enjoys a very relaxed way of life, with a big choice of eating places offering a full range from traditional Cypriot cooking to continental dishes. At weekends or after work your can wander along to the many coffee shops located around the harbour area and watch the world go by in a friendly environment.
Cyprus has a very low crime rate and is very safe for children of all ages to enjoy their own social scene.
