That's Bizarre: A smitten US couple have got married 50 times.

Carl and Clara Rial have tied the knot in all of America's 50 states - marrying in places as diverse as zoos and funeral homes - and insist it keeps their romance alive.

They got started on their mission when a close friend couldn't make their first wedding in 1986 - and they decided to go through with a second ceremony just for him.

Carl said: "I said, 'Hmmm, we've been married in two states. We ought to get married in all of them', and she said, 'That sounds like fun'."

The couple continued traveling across the country marrying in every state.

Clara said: "We just fit together like a glove."
